  2. Nutritious Breakfast Option: Unlike traditional brownies loaded with sugar and fats, these baked oats are packed with wholesome ingredients like oats, bananas, and dairy-free milk.
  3. Customizable and Versatile: Adjust the sweetness level by varying the amount of maple syrup or swap out ingredients like peanut butter for almond butter or add-ins like chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
  4. Convenient One-Pan Preparation: Simplify your cooking process with this one-pan recipe. With minimal prep and cleanup required, you can enjoy a delicious homemade sweet treat.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use Ripe Bananas: Ensure your bananas are ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor in the baked oats. The riper the bananas, the sweeter your oats will be.
  2. Customize Sweetness: Adjust the amount of maple syrup or liquid sweetener to suit your taste preferences. You can add more or less depending on how sweet you like your baked oats.
  3. Creamy Peanut Butter: Opt for creamy peanut butter for a smooth texture in the baked oats. However, if you prefer some added texture, you can use chunky peanut butter instead.

Ingredient Substitutions & Variations

  1. Bananas: If you’re not a fan of bananas or prefer a different fruit flavor, you can substitute them with unsweetened applesauce or mashed avocado for moisture and binding.
  2. Peanut Butter: Feel free to swap creamy peanut butter with almond butter, cashew butter, or any other nut or seed butter of your choice. Sunflower seed butter is a great nut-free alternative.
  3. Maple Syrup: Instead of maple syrup, you can use honey, agave nectar, date syrup, or coconut nectar as a liquid sweetener. Adjust the quantity based on your preferred level of sweetness.
  4. Dairy-Free Milk: Any dairy-free milk such as almond milk, soy milk, oat milk, or coconut milk can be used in place of dairy milk. Choose your favorite variety for added flavor.
  5. Cocoa Powder: For a richer chocolate flavor, you can use dark cocoa powder instead of regular cocoa powder. Alternatively, you can also use chocolate protein powder for added protein.
  6. Oats: If you don’t have quick oats on hand, you can pulse rolled oats in a blender or food processor a few times to achieve a finer texture.
  7. Fruity Addition: Mix in fresh or frozen berries such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries into the batter for bursts of fruity sweetness.
  8. Coconut: Sprinkle shredded coconut on top of the baked oats before baking for a tropical twist.
  9. Protein-Packed: Incorporate a scoop of your favorite protein powder into the batter for an added protein boost, especially beneficial for post-workout fuel

Storing and Make Ahead Suggestions

Amazing stuff. Very good way to start the day.

I’ve actually forgot to put the bananas in the mixture, just remembered in time and put it sliced thinly on top of the brownie and under the chocolate cream.

Will do the original again to compare. But even with my hack this was super delicious.
