Remove the membrane skin, otherwise, it might be still chewy when cooked.
To remove the membrane, turn the ribs bone side up. Gently slide a knife under the membrane in order to loosen enough skin for you to be able to pull it off. Pull it off gently with your hands and the membrane should come off in one piece.
After removing the membrane skin, combine all the ingredients for the ribs marinade and rub it on the ribs.
STEP 2 - HOW TO COOK JACK DANIELS RIBS IN THE OVEN
Preheat oven to 284⁰ F/140 ⁰ C.
Place the ribs in a baking tray and leave it for 3 hours. Cover with aluminium foil.
Check them from time to time as depending on the cut they might be ready earlier. We want to achieve slow-cooked ribs that are so tender they fall off the bone.
STEP 3 - PREPARE JACK DANIELS RIBS SAUCE (TGI COPYCAT)
In a medium pan combine the pineapple juice, teriyaki and soy sauce, crushed garlic, water, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it simmer for a couple of minutes stirring occasionally.
Add the lemon juice, onion, whiskey, crushed pineapple, and cayenne pepper leaving the sauce to simmer for half an hour.
STEP 4 - SERVE
Grill the ribs for a couple of minutes per side, pour the sauce, and serve.
