Oven-roasted garlic shrimp with bold Louisiana flavour and a light Mediterranean twist. Spicy, savoury, and full of flavour—no butter needed.
One of my all-time favourite meals—these shrimp are simmered in a rich blend of olive oil and Worcestershire sauce. This sheet pan version captures that bold, classic New Orleans flavour, but in a faster, lighter way. Just be sure to have some crusty French bread ready to soak up every last drop of the sauce!

Description
Oven-roasted garlic shrimp with bold Louisiana flavour and a light Mediterranean twist. Spicy, savoury, and full of flavour—no butter needed.
Ingredients
- 2 pound king prawns (6 prawns per person)
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp Worchestershire sauce or lemon wedges for a more Mediterranean taste
- Optional 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes or 1/4 tsp tabasco sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a sheet pan with foil.
- Mix olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and Tabasco sauce together in a small bowl.
- Rinse shrimp in a colander and pat dry with paper towels to remove the excess water. Place in a large bowl.
- Add minced garlic to the bowl with the shrimp. Pour in sauce and toss with the shrimp and garlic. Pour shrimp and sauce onto the prepared sheet pan, and spread shrimp out into an even layer.
- Cook in the pre-heated oven until the shrimp turn pink (be careful not to overcook), about 8 minutes. Serve with the sauce from the pan and French bread for dipping.
