Flapjack Recipe Chocolate

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 sticks (5 1/3 oz) butter
  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp maple syrup
  • 4 1/2 cup oat flakes
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or drops

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven at 140°C and line a 9 by 12 inch baking tin with parchment paper.
  • Add the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and leave it to melt. Optionally you can also choose the microwave to melt the mix.
  • Once the butter and sugar have melted, add the maple syrup and stir.
  • Add the oatmeal to the melted ingredients and make sure that the oat flakes are all well coated.
  • Add the chocolate chips into the batter mixing everything well and making sure that the chips are evenly distributed. Optionally you can also add other ingredients like fruit and nuts.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold distributing the mixture evenly and level the surface with a spatula.
  • Then bake at 140°C and cook for about 40 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and let the mixture cool
  • Cut into 16 bars and enjoy these oatmeal bars at breakfast or as a healthy snack.
